China inflation cools down in November

According to an official data released on Friday, the inflationary pressures in China dropped severely in November from falling food and commodity prices.

The consumer price index (CPI) shows a rise of 4.2% in November, declining from 5.5% increase in October. Producer price index (PPI) for the month slide off at an even sharper drop, at 2.7% rise in November in comparison of 5% in October.

The data were lower than the estimation of 4.4% rise in CPI and a 3.2% increase in PPI from economists polled by Dow Jones Newswires
